  35.      Clomiphene should be stored at room temperature in a tightly closed,
  36. light-resistant container.

  40.      Clomiphene is used to treat infertility in women.  This drug reverses
  41. some types of infertility in women by stimulating ovulation.

  43. TREATMENT
  44.  
  45.      Clomiphene can be taken either on an empty stomach or with food or milk,
  46. as directed by your doctor.
  47.      It is very important to follow your dosing schedule carefully.  If you
  48. have any questions about how to take this medication, BE SURE TO CHECK WITH
  49. YOUR DOCTOR.
  50.      If you miss a dose of this medication, take the missed dose as soon as
  51. possible.  If you do not remember until it is time for the next dose, double
  52. the dose, then return to your regular dosing schedule.  If you miss more than
  53. one dose, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR.

  55. SIDE EFFECTS
  56.  
  57.      Minor.
  58.  
  59.      Abdominal discomfort, bloating, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nausea,
  60. nervousness, or vomiting.  These side effects should disappear as your body
  61. adjusts to the medication.
  62.      If you feel dizzy, sit or lie down for a while; get up slowly from a
  63. sitting or reclining position, and be careful on stairs.

  67.      Tell your doctor about any side effects that are persistent or
  68. particularly bothersome.  IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR about
  69. breast tenderness, depression, fatigue, hair loss, hot flashes, pelvic pain,
  70. skin rash, or visual disturbances.

  72. INTERACTIONS

  74.      Clomiphene should not interact with other medications if it is used
  75. according to directions.

  77. WARNINGS
  78.  
  79.      * Tell your doctor about unusual or allergic reactions you have had to
  80. any medications, especially to clomiphene.
  81.      * Before beginning to take clomiphene, tell your doctor if you now have
  82. or if you have ever had any of the following symptoms:  abnormal vaginal
  83. bleeding, clotting problems, tumors or cysts of the uterus or ovaries, liver
  84. disease, or mental depression.
  85.      * If clomiphene makes you dizzy, do not take part in any activity that
  86. requires alertness, such as driving a car or operating potentially dangerous
  87. equipment, and take care going up and down stairs.
  88.      * While taking this medication, it is important to carefully follow your
  89. doctor's directions for recording your body temperature and for the timing of
  90. sexual intercourse.
  91.      * The risk of a multiple pregnancy is increased when clomiphene is used.
  92. This medication should not be taken if you are already pregnant.  If you
  93. should become pregnant during treatment with clomiphene, tell your doctor
  94. immediately and, unless directed to do otherwise, discontinue the medication
  95. at once.  It has been reported to cause birth defects in the offspring of
  96. animals that received large doses of clomiphene during pregnancy.  Also, tell
  97. your doctor if you are breast-feeding an infant.  It is not known whether
  98. clomiphene passes into breast milk.
